چکیده
The aim of the present study was to evaluate fermentative profile, chemical composition, and in situ degradability total mixed ration silage with or without babassu byproducts formulated for sheep diets. experiment performed a completely randomized design, four treatments (silages) five replications (silos). were SS: sugarcane (control); SSCS: corn soybean meal; SSBF: corn, meal, flour; SSBC: cake. experimental diets be isoprotein, meet nutritional requirements confined an average weight 20 kg, according Nutrient Requirements Small Ruminants. SSCS, SSBF, SSBC presented highest values dry matter recovery (83.74, 82.08, 83.92%, respectively), higher (349.07, 344,39, 352.32 g/kg, crude protein (151.19, 136.98, 142.14 g/kg DM, non-fibrous carbohydrate (444.70, 353.40, 371.30 respectively) contents than SS treatment. largest degradations CP, neutral detergent fiber each treatment occurred at 72 h, which SSCS comparison others (80.59, 87.89, 55.68, respectively). inclusion silages form acted positively qualitative indicators silages, improving fermentation profile reducing losses, as well composition degradability.

Characterization of culturable yeast species associating with whole crop corn and total mixed ration silage
OBJECTIVE This study investigated the association of yeast species with improved aerobic stability of total mixed ration (TMR) silages with prolonged ensiling, and clarified the characteristics of yeast species and their role during aerobic deterioration. METHODS Whole crop corn (WCC) silages and TMR silages formulated with WCC were ensiled for 7, 14, 28, and 56 d and used for an aerobic stab...

This study investigated the dynamics associated with prolonged ensiling and aerobic deterioration of whole crop corn (WCC) silages and total mixed ration (TMR) silages containing WCC (C-TMR silages) to clarify the differences that account for the enhanced aerobic stability of TMR silages. Laboratory-scale barrel silos were randomly opened after 7, 14, 28, and 56 d of ensiling and were subjected...

The aim of this study was to determine the effects of a bacterial inoculant and chemical additives on nutrient composition, in vitro degradation, total loss, aerobic stability, microbiological quality, and fermentative profile of sugarcane silage. Treatments were distributed to forty-eight mini-silos in a 2 × 4 factorial arrangement: two levels of microbial inoculant (INO, 0 or 4 g/t of fresh s...

Aim: The aim of the current study was to evaluate the effect of salinomycin in vitro on methanogenesis and rumen fermentation. Materials and Methods: Different levels of (0,10, 15 and 20 ppm) salinomycin were checked for their effect on in vitro methanogenesis and rumen fermentation on three wheat straw based diets i.e. low fiber diet (LFD, 40R:60C), medium fiber diet (MFD, 50R:50C) and high fi...
